Natural Reliable and Organic

Simply put Apitherapy is the treatment of ailments using products from the bee hive.

There is much evidence to show the great healing powers of bee products.

We can provide the following:

  • Bee Pollen: Honeybees collect pollen from many different plants, depending on their habitat, and use it as a food in the hive. This bee pollen is one of the oldest dietary supplements, used by the ancient Egyptians and ancient Chinese as a rejuvenating agent. However, research so far provides only a limited amount of evidence for specific health benefits. The main benefits of bee pollen seem to be as a general health supplement to complement the diet. Bee pollen has seemingly well balanced make up of roughly 55% carbohydrates, 35% protein, 3% vitamins and minerals, 2% fatty acids, and 5% other substances including amino acids, fatty acids, amino acids and enzymes. Bee pollen is also has a high number of vitamins and minerals along with other substances providing strong antioxidant, anti-toxic and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as showing a beneficial effect on the immune system and potential aid for some allergy types. Though more research is required on the exact benefits of bee pollen, and the variations due to the differing habitats in which the bees cultivate, it seems to be a good all round compliment to any diet.

  • Propolis: Antibacterial, antifungal, natural bee product, the bees extract resin from local trees and plants and turn it into propolis which they use to line the inside of their hive, the propolis is believed to act as an extension of the bees immune system. Think of each bee as a cell in a body and the hive as the body, the propolis is what protects them from disease.
  • Bees Wax: Unlike most beekeepers we do not treat our bees with any chemicals, so our wax is completely free of contaminants. You can use bees wax for many purposes, including candle making and making creams and lotions.
  • Honey: Natural, pure, local honey is known to be beneficial for all sorts of ailments, especially hayfever. Unlike many commercial honeys you will find in the supermarket, our honey is not heated or pasturized, and nothing is added to it. It comes in its natural form either as cut comb or we can put it into jars for your culinary enjoyment. Think of how each bee may visit 70,000 flowers in its lifetime to produce just 1 gram of honey! This truly is precious stuff.
